Who or what is mindflaws?
My name is Amber Soet (she/her), born and raised in The Netherlands and based in Amsterdam. I like to think outside of the box. This already starts with my title, which is not ''photographer'', ''poet'' or ''author''.
I like calling myself an artist, because to me, art exceeds labels and boxes. On this website you can see what I have created over the years and the services I provide. I love to collaborate with like-minded people who are open to experimentation and free expression.
Mindflaws all began with my Tumblr account when I was still in high school. I think I was around 15 years old. After I had the same URL for a long time, I figured it was time for something else and ended up creating the name mindflaws because nobody's mind is perfect — we are all flawed. I haven't let go of this name ever since and started using it for other social media platforms as well.
As I've created work throughout the years on several separate platforms, I felt that it was time to have a place where I could showcase all my creative work on one platform. I don’t know what this will turn into, but that’s what makes it all the more fun, right?
