For my final project of my basic photography course at the Fotoacademie I chose to capture the people at and around the harbour of Hoorn during Spring and early Summer season. My aim was to show the viewer how people of all ages enjoy themselves in their own ways at the same location. This project challenged me in such a way that I had to get out of my comfort zone and get really close to people with my camera or even ask them to pretend they didn’t see me. I would love to do more of this documentary style work in the future.
